Our Story

We will be getting married on July 24th, 2009 in Austin, TX at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, but that's not quite the beginning...

In the fall of 2003, we both began our college career at Texas Tech University in the College of Architecture. Though we didn't know it at that time, we shared many of our classes that year. Worth moved on to try his hand at Ceramics, while Chelsea remained in Architecture, but we soon learned that we shared many mutual friends. After running into each other here and there for three years, we finally sat down and talked one evening while hanging out with a small group of our friends.

We hit it off that night and became fast friends, making plans to run into each other often. We enjoyed playing board games with friends, even through attacks by the Royal Navy, weekly dinners at Pei Wei, and even a road trip to volunteer at a city-wide art exhibition in Marfa, TX. We began dating around thanksgiving of 2007 and both made road trips to "meet the family" over Christmas break that year. What an experience for Worth who arrived with Chelsea on New Years Day to find her entire family, cousins and all, gathered at her home in Bulverde for a Crab boil.

About a year later, Worth made plans with his family to re-size his great-grandmother, Bebe's ring. On December 19th, 2008, after lunch at our favorite restaurant and a walk around the park near Worth's house, we stopped for Chelsea's favorite; ice cream. Worth "accidentally" dropped his napkin on the ground, and bent down to pick it up, but pulled out a ring instead!

Of course, Chelsea said yes, and now, here we are! We are now biding our time until May when Worth will graduate, but we're definitely not bored. We love cooking together, playing with the kitties (all three of them!), watching movies, and coming up with new and creative dates. We can't wait until the weather warms up so that we can resume our number one love, playing outside. Bikes, frisbees, kites, rocks, soccer, bring it on!
